This boat cover is custom made to account for every curve of your craft, including cutouts for your bimini top. This is one of several covers carried here made of the legendary Sunbrella marine fabric, known for its mildew and UV resistance, its cleanability, and its ability to fit any boater’s unique style. We also have semi-custom Trailerite boat covers by Taylor Made, like the Fish N Ski Dual Console cover which is made with double folded hems, sewn in tie down loops, 4-ply seams, and a hood for your outboard motor. Many of our boat covers include manufacturer warranties to boost your buying confidence.
Boat covers have many uses. First and foremost, they help keep your boat clean. Waterproof boat covers will repel rain and moisture, prevent mold or mildew from growing on the interior of your boat. A cover will also defend against bird droppings, tree sap, falling leaves and other dirt and grime. Boat covers with UV protection will deflect harmful UV rays from the sun. Prolonged sun exposure can fade your boat’s paint and cause unwanted cracks. A tight fitting boat cover will also help prevent wild animals from burrowing inside your boat. Wild animals can wreak havoc on a boat’s interior and can cause serious damage to electrical wiring.

One of the most important things you can do for your cover is getting the correct size. If it’s too small, the fabric and seams will be overly stressed and wear out prematurely. If it’s too big, rainwater will collect in the low spots and cause sagging, plus wind will get in, under or around and fill the cover with air, possibly snagging or tearing it on sharp objects. This could also become a safety hazard if your cover is being used while trailering your boat at highway speeds since it will flap wildly, which could reduce your visibility and distract others.
First, you’ll need to know your hull style. If you’re unsure, look for a boat pictured on westmarine.com that matches yours as closely as possible. Next, use a tape measure and measure the beam width (the widest distance across the boat in a flat line). You’ll do the same thing to measure the centerline length (the overall length of the boat measured in a flat line between the farthest points forward and aft that you want to have covered). Finally, allow for options like bow pulpits and swim platforms; however, don’t measure over them. You should always measure in a flat, straight line. Covers are offered in one-foot length increments, so you’ll need to round off to the next foot if in between.
I recently purchased a Sunbrella console cover and a Sun Dura leaning post cover.  I wish I would have spent the extra few dollars on the Sunbrella leaning post cover. The Sun Dura doesn't breath as well as the Sunbrella and the inside has almost like a plastic coating the sticks to the vinyl. The inside is starting to mold a little bit and the seat vinyl will start to show mold after a couple weeks with some rain showers.
A: Westland uses a heavy duty ¼” draw rope to achieve a tight fit with your cover, every time you use it. Unlike shock cord, which breaks down in the sun and can result in a ripped boat cover when you need it the most, the draw rope is going to maintain its integrity and keep your boat protected without loosening up with age or from the sun. This is just one of the many things Westland does to make sure you get a high quality, durable boat cover that you can rely on.
